ONPSYCH'S PCIR WELLBEING SERVICES
Respond with compassion in troubling times
Our Pastoral Critical Incident Response (PCIR) is a support service that we provide following traumatic incidents.
Our wellbeings have additional training and experience providing this type of support in a professional capacity to school communities. Using our wellbeing services as the medium, these professionals help children and adults navigate conflict and trauma in a healthy manner.
For PCIR support, please call 1300 659 350.
When would you need PCIR support?
These types of wellbeing services are reserved for events that have the potential to disturb the emotional and mental wellbeing of school communities. These could include, for instance, suicides, accidents, deaths or natural disasters.
Our pastoral care team may work alongside NGOs like the Red Cross and independent social workers and psychologists to help students, parents, and school staff cope and process the emotions associated with a period of grieving.
We also refer those who require specialist care to the appropriate caregivers.
